Dragons, unicorns, and lions come alive during this annual Chinese New Year Celebration, held at the Multi-Purpose Hall at Likas Sports Complex, Kota Kinabalu.

CHINESE CULTURAL VILLAGE EXHIBITION (11 JANUARY)
During the vibrant Chinese Chinese New Year season, a total of fifteen Chinese communities will showcase traditional cuisines and teas.
The Chinese culture such as Hokkien, Hakka, Teo Chew, Hainan and many more will be joining this event.
It will take place at Likas Sports Complex, the same day as for another event that already mentioned.
CHINESE NEW YEAR CARNIVAL (12 – 15 JANUARY)

A jovial celebration is going to be held at both Lintasan Deasoka and Gaya Street, which is just walking distance between one another.

17TH NEW TALENT EXHIBITION 2020 (20 JANUARY – 17 APRIL)

It will take place at the Sabah Art Gallery Convention Centre at Sabah Art Gallery.
This is an annual show introducing fresh new works by newcomers to the gallery with the objective of encouraging and promoting talented individuals to be actively involved in the creation and appreciation of the visual arts in the state.
‘ FALLEN HEROES ‘ OF PETAGAS (21 JANUARY)
Last but not least, a memorial service is held at the Petagas Memorial Garden to commemorate those who fought and fell during World War II.
This memorial park was erected in memory of those who died while defending Sabah.
Led by Albert Kwok, the Kinabalu Guerrillas’ most infamous attack was the “Jesselton Revolt” or the “Double Revolt”.
The memorial garden is built on the very spot where 176 of the Kinabalu Guerillas were massacred on 21 January 1944.
