3.36 Million Tourists to Sarawak in Nine Months? What Will Happen During 2020?
The government hopes to reach 30 million tourists with RM100 billion in revenue from national tourism in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2020 or VM2020 next year.
Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Mohamaddin Katapi, said with the availability of quality tourism products in Sarawak, including organizing Sarawak Visit Year 2019, he is confident that the target of five million tourists entering the state will be achieved.
According to the Tourism Visits Statistics of Sarawak released by the Sarawak Tourism Board, from January to September this year, a total of 3.36 million domestic and foreign tourists came to Sarawak. This number will continue to rise and reach its number.
Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia, located in the Borneo Islands. Sarawak is a tourist attraction from all over the world due to its natural beauty, its rich culture, its multicultural community, and its unique food.
